In February, the Convene Team hosted a community conversation at Esperanza Community, a community that supports individuals transitioning out of homelessness by providing shelter, social connection, wellness services, and work opportunities. Approximately 30 participants attended the conversation, including both service providers and residents. A central theme that emerged was the critical role of support in accessing resources. Participants emphasized that guidance from advocates, friends, or peers can significantly reduce barriers to access, making complex systems easier to navigate and available services more understandable.
